Laser utilization is growing every year because patients consider lasers a better way to have their dentistry performed. This makes it important for every clinician to understand this technology to better evaluate if it is right for their practice. For the clinicians who already have a soft-tissue diode laser, it is easy to under-utilize it in the hustle-and-bustle of a busy practice. This presentation will discuss the many factors to determine if a laser is a wise investment for your practice, how a laser is different than a steel blade or an electrosurgery unit, what features to look for in a laser, and the many clinical applications of lasers. At the completion of this presentation, you will feel confident in evaluating and using a laser, and you may never have to pack retraction cord again.
Nowadays we are living an intense pursuit of beauty. Tooth whitening represents an important impact on peoples’ smiles and their lives, as having a confident smile increases self-esteem. The World Health Organization has stated that “Health is not simply the absence of pathology, but rather, it is a state of well-being both physically and mentally." Furthermore, if your patients have enough information and if they can afford tooth whitening…how many will go for it? This presentation will explore how to achieve predictable esthetic results on every smile.
Success in adhesive dentistry often depends on completing a lot of little steps correctly to create a successful big finish. Success means happy patients who will share how remarkable you are, and your practice will flourish. This presentation is about the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of each of the small steps to success in bonding. From here we will progress into how to create long-lasting posterior restorations which are the bread-and-butter of most practices. Then we will build on this foundation of information and discuss minimally-invasive esthetic techniques. This is a must-attend presentation.
